CHEMISTS’ AWARD,
£Pkb Pbzs* Association.] AUCKLAND, July 28 The Arbitration Court award for re. .tail chemists gives registered assistants £4 17s 6d and unregistered assistants £3 los weekly, being 10s rise in each ease. The Court has also allowed higher 1 pay for apprentices. The Court declined to shorten the hours or to exclude unqualified female assistants, though tho latter must not bo employed in dispensing drugs.
