(Received March 7, 11,30 a.m.) NEW YORK, March 4. ,Thq New "Work “ Evening Post’s ’’ T) ashington correspondent points out that close observers about the Capitol consider that, the objection to the present draft of the League of Nations, by Senator Lodge’s list of thirty-seven Senators, is merely a warning to the American Peace delegates that they must consider tho wishes of the Senate. The correspondent adds that small changes in the draft would cause many of the thirty-seven to approve of it, thus destroying the possibility of formidable opposition by the (Senate. The correspondent concludes':—“ It is unlikely that the Senate’s proceedings during tho past week will have any effect on the actions of the Peace Conference.”
