FOOTBALL.
CANTERBURY ASSOCIATION. The-committee of the Canterbury Football Association met at the Young Men's Christian Association building last evening, Air It. English presiding over a good attendance of delegates. v The United Club wrote requesting that its claim for disputed points should bo reconsidered, and threatening withdrawal from the association if its request were not granted. Consideration of the matter was deferred till next meeting. It was decided to reply to an inquiry from the- City Council stating that the association would be prepared to consider taking a ground in St Albans Park this season if it were granted a better position. A financial statement for last season was presented, showing a credit balance of £-25 Os Gd. Tho receipts amounted to £'9S 3s. The- secretary reported that after settling several accounts the association now had a credit balance •of JSI 12s, while liabilities amounted to about £4O. ' The chairman and Messrs G. Bowen. and D. K. Dugay were appointed a committee to interview masters of primary schools regarding school Association football next season, with authority to give each team a football and to make a registration charge. Accounts amounting to £6 0s 3d were passed for payment, and the meeting adjourned.
