NORTH CANTERBURY v. MERIVALE.

North Canterbury defeated a. Merivale team at Rangiora on Saturd'ay ■with a score of 0 points to 5. Walls and Breach scored a try each for the winners, and Wilcox a try for Merivale, which was converted by Evans. Mr D. W. L. Mehrtens was referee.

CANTERBURY RUGBY LEAGUE

The weekly meeting of the Management Committee was held in the club rooms on Saturday evening.

It was decided to close the present season and to present to the Addington and Sydenham Clubs at the rooms on Saturday the banner and cup won by the successful teams. The subcommittee reported that it was the intention to close the social rooms after October 4. The report was approved, Tlie application of the Federal Club for affiliation was received', and the secretary -was instructed to issue copies of rules. It was decided that two members should be asked to attend the next meeting of the committee in connection with non-compliance with rules.
