LONDON, April 25,

A message from Washington say® that sharp Press attacks have been made on Mr W. J. Bryan for omitting wines when entertaining diplomats.

He has replied to the attack that he had fully explained to the Hon J. Bryce and other diplomats that he never served wine, and regretted if it seemed discourteous. He hoped that the hospitality in other respects would enable the guests to overlook a longstanding family custom. Sir Bryan has intimated his intention to refuse, to eerve wine in future.
