Old Boys B beat Old Boys A by eight points to nil, Aitken and Nicholls scoring tries and Parson kicking a goal. Chvistclmrch (eight) beat Canterbury College (nil). Tries were scored by Fisher,and Winny, and Foster converted one of them. After playing about seven minutes over the allotted time, Lyttelton beat Linwood by six points to three. Morris and Reed for Lyttelton and Piercy for Linwood scored tries. Merivale beat Sydenham by eight points to three. Chisnall and Rush scored tries for Merivale, Cresswell converting one of them, and Love scored a try for Sydenham. SECOND ROUND. Old Boys B beat Christchurch by eight points to three. Nicholls scored two tries and Parson kicked a fine goal. IJor Christchurch, who lost a player through injury half-way through the game, Winny scored a trj*. Merivale beat Lyttelton by thirteen points to-nil. Miles, Chisnall and Cade scored tries and Cresswell kicked two goals. FINAL. Merivale and Old Boys B met in the final. A cross-kick by Chisnall enabled Rush to score a try for Merivale after two minutes' play. From a scramble on the line Rush scored again and Cresswell kicked a goal. The second spell was more evenly contested, and there was no further score, Merivale winning by eight points to nil. The Merivale team was as follows: — A. Cresswell, C. Chisnall, B.'Miles, A. Cade, G. Rush, A. Dunn and another.
