TEACHERS' SUPERANNUATION BILL.

AUCKLAND, July 25. The Management Committee of the Auckland branch of the Educational Institute has passed a resolution thanking the Government for the Superannuation Bill., and urging that move liberal consideration should be made for original members, as the low minimum is calculated to defeat the object of the Bill, namely, inducing teachers who are past efficiency to retire. The branch regrets that years of contribution, rather than years of service, are made the basis of the fund. The cam-mit-cee endorsed , the action of the Executive of the Institute, and urged the placing of £26,000, increase in salaries for one year, to the credit of the Superannuation Fund.
