TRAGEDY OF CHILDHOOD.
A Berlin, cable message of October 11 says : — A schoolboy at Hermanitz, near Hohenelbe, took from a drawer a revolver belonging to his father. While he was showing it to a four-year-old sister- ifc went off, and the little girl was shot dead, fiorrified at what he had done, the boy put the pistol to his head and shot himself. Bath children were dead when the mother, alarmed by the shots, reached the room.
