SOUTHBRIDGE.
The ringing of the bell and firing of a bomb at the Railway Station at 10.15 a.m. to-day announced the news that peace had been declared. The intimation was received, with great rejoicing, and the firebells and the church and school bells were rung. Flags were hoisted on the Fire Brigade Station, the Town Hall, the Public School and business places, and the school children sang patriotic songs. A grand exhibition of fireworks is to take place to-night.
