His Honor Mr Justice Denniston sat in Chambers at eleven o'clock this morning, when the following business was taken : — Probates, etc. — His Honor granted probate in re William Taylorj deceased (Mr Russell) ; re William Henry Jackson, deceased (Mr Kippenberger) ; re George Talbot, deceased, for letters of administration (Mr Weston) ; re Edmund Green, deceased (Mr Widdowson) ; re Peter . Poster, deceased (Mr Muff) ; re John Ericksson (Mr Kippenberger) ; re William James Smith (Mr Beacon) ; re William Cox (Mr Johnston) ; re Samuel Eoyce, for letters of administration (Mr Johnston) ; re Eli Jowett, deceased (Mr Thomas) ; re Christina Jorgensen (Mr Maude) ; re Agnes Campbell, letters c.t.a. (Mr Rhodes) ; re James Hughes, deceased (Mr Malley) ; re William Parkes, deceased (Mr Cotterill). Private Estates Bills Act re Canterbury College and another body. —On the application of Mr Fisher, his Honor made an order authorising the holding of an inquiry with the object of having a Bill brought down for the payment of certain moneys by the mortgagees to the mortgagors. Re Henry Grainger, deceased,— On the application of Mr Stringer, his Honor ordered, a motion to declare the assignment herein void as against the Official. Assignee to stand over.' Bailey v. Bailey (divorce).— On the application of Mr Kippenberger, his Honor fixed the date of hearing for the next Banco sitting. Companies Act and re Westport Twin Gold Mines. — On the application of Mr Pisher, his Honor made an order for the winding up of the company, subsequent proceedings to be taken in the District Court holden at Westport. Trustee Act, and re John Twigger, deceased. — On the application of Mr Lane, his Honor made an order herein, authorising the purchase of a section of land adjoining the Twigger Estate. In Knight v. Knight, on the-application of Mr Beattie, his Honor made an order confirming the report of the Registrar herein.
