SHEEP DOG TRIAL CLUB.
• ■ ■ A meeting of the committee of the Cbiristchurch" Sheep Dog Trial Club was held at Matson's salerooms this afternoon, Mr P. A. Archer in .the chair. Mr Hugonin reported that sheep for the trials had been arranged for, and that a ground near tha Colombo Road tram terminus had been selected, which it was believed would be veiy suitable, and was very convenient of access. The Chairman announced that the President of the club, Mr G. K Rhodes, had given £5 5s to -the funds of the club. ' A vote of thanks was passed to Mr Rhodes. It was decided to run tha programme in tho following order, bsginsing on Thursday at 9 a.m. : — 1, Heading, bringing back and yarding ; 2, hSading and bringing back, (long pull); 3, Hunt-away; 4, yarding competition. It was resolved that the judge be instructed to order any dog which may bo doing such bad work as to have no olranco of success to b». cailled off. Mr Peter Elder was elected' flag steward.
