A letter was received from the Government j with reference to the Council's suggestion ! that the cemetery reserve under its charge ! should be handed over to the Christchurch City Council, on tte understanding- that it be held on the same conditions, and for the same purpose as it is at present held. The Government replied, asking if the Board was willing that the reserve should be handed over to the Council without any such conditions.
