ROUGHEMONT'S. ROMANCES.
THE HISTORY OF THE * M MODERN CRUSOE." SYDNEY, Sept. 20. T^here Is but little doubt that M. RoHgemont is identical with Henri Grien, a late i resident of Sydney, who, a few years ft^o, i spent some timp in the South S&* tEnd Torres Straits fisheries. He used to recount thrilling tales of his adventures to his children, one of whom bears the name of Cecil de Rougemont Grien. His wife recently received a ■ letter from her brother-in-law in Switzerland, stating that her husband was then spending a holiday in that country. The wife has identified the portrait in the " Wide World " magazine as that of her husband.
