MEETING OF CREDITORS.
A first meeting of creditors in the estate of Alfred William Orange, tailor, trading in Christchurch as Orange and Ffrost, was held at the Official Assignees office this morning. Mr Beattie appeared for the bankrupt. The total assets were shown at £1<£ Tand the debts £17C > Os lld. AU the creditors are unsecured. The stock-in-trade is estimated at £15 the book debts at £77 (estimated to produce £50), and the shop fittings, etc., at £15. The unsecured creditors over £5 are :- Edmondson and Dickenson (Wellington), £30 19s sd ; Thompson, Fox and Co. (Dunedin) £12 15s lld; Gamek an<? Co. Christchurch), £23 6s lld, Eaton, Crowe and Co. (Donedm), £36 lOs 3d; Scott Bros., £6 2s lld; Ross and Glendining £7 Us sd; Lamb Bros, aad Co., £14, 13s lOd; Singer Manufacturing Com-no-nv £7 10s: Minson and Co. £8 10s ; is Ffrost, £12; P. Jones, £4 ss. In his statement, Alfred William Orange said that he was a tailor, and rented a shop in High Street. He had beeninbusineStwelvi months in partnership with A. ? Ffrost and dissolved the partnerehip abouti month ago. He was to pay Ffrost [Sa for which amount bills were given, fill due in November and February next Mr Ffrost took nothing out of the Susine 3 r He attributed his failure to S of employment, and was compelled ?o file on account of pressure by creditors After some questions had been _ asked [the estate was left in the hands of the Official Assignee t_ realise to the best advantage.
