TENNIS.
The annual meeting of the Sydenham Tennis Club was held on Thursday evening, Mr E. J. T. Ford (vice-president) in the chair. The committee in their report congratulated the club on the very satisfactory state of accounts, as after paying all liabilities there is a small credit balance in hand, and the club is now clear of debt. The thanks of the club are due to Mr Pannel for the presentation of trophies, which were won by Misa A. Baldwin and Mr W. Seay. ■„ The following officers were elected :— President, Mr .Cr. T. Booth vice-presidents), Miss Baldwin, Messrs G. J. Smith, M.H.8., E. J. T. Ford and W. Seay; committee, Misses A. Baldwin and Gee, Messrs Joll, King and Seay ; honorary secretary and treasurer, Mr M. Rudd; assistant honorary secretary and treasurer, Mr W. A. Hall; auditor, Mr W. Gee; delegate to Tennis Association, Mr M Rudd. On the recommendation ot tne committee, it was decided to erect dressingrooms and carry out other improvements. Six new members were elected. The openin» day was fixed for Saturday, Oct. S.
