SPREYDON.
A meeting of this Eoard was held at the office on Thursday, March 3 ; present — Messrs Brown (chairman), Ell, Halliday and Eodgers. It was decided to open the road leading to the lower portion of the Sydenham Cemetery and that the owners of property adjoining who have had the road fenced in, should be informed that the fences will he removed after twentyone days. The Clerk was directed to write to theSelwyn County Council and ascertain in which Road Board (if any) the boundary bridge near the asylum is vested. It was decided -that application should be made for a valuation roll. The "Works Committee's report : was adopted, and Messrs Ell and Eogers were appointed a Works Committee for the month. . The Clerk was instructed to take proceedings at once for the recovery of rates due, and that notices should be sent to all defaulters that unless the rates were paid (with 10 per cent added) before March 18, proceedings would be taken for their recovery. The cash statement showed rates collected since last meeting, .£l6O 3s. Accounts were passed for .£l6l 16s lOd, and after the necessary cheques had been signed the meeting closed.
