WEST EYRETON.

This Board met on March 14 ; present — Messrs J. Addinell (chairman), Conway and Smith. A letter was read from the Valuer-General, stating that a copy of the valuation roll would be supplied on application being made, with a proper description of the boundaries of the district. The Clerk was directed to make application accordingly. The Clerk was authorised to sell four posts to the West Eyreton Public Hall Committee at Is Gd each. The following tenders were received for shingling at Horrellville railway siding : — George Latto, Is per yard; John Smith, lOd per yard; Thomas Powell, lOd per yard ; Robert Smith, B Ad per yard, accepted. Grocers' Hockey Club.— The second annual meeting of the Christchurch Grocers' Hockey Club was held on Wednesday evening at the Clarendon Hotel. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: — President, Mr F. A. Cook; vice-presidents, Messrs G-. Payling, W. Chrystall, H. Quane, T. Kincaid, T. H. Papps and G. Piercy; captain, Mr J. Wilson; vice-captain, Mi* C. Sanmda; secretary and treasurer, Mr F. J. Good; custodian, Mr G. Year ; committee, Messrs Edser, Bayliss andVizer; selection committee, Messrs J. Wilson, C. Samnda and T. H. Reed. Thirteen new members were elected, and the meeting closed with a vote of thanks to the Chairman, Mr J. Wilson.
