INDULGENCE TO SMOKERS.
The question whether councillors should or should not smoke when in committee was the subject of a discussion at the last meeting of the Lower Hutt Borough Council, Councillor Jones moved that such indulgence be not allowed. The division, sayß the Post, resulted in a tie, but the question was decided in favour of the smokers on the Chairman's casting vote.
