Tuesday, Dec. 14. Vagrancy. — Ann Pilot was charged with vagrancy. The woman had been sent from Dunedin by the Charitable Aid Board, which body paid her passage by the steamer Te Anau. She was taken on to the | Magdala Home by Constable Connell, but j remained only fifteen minutes, during which time she created a violent disturbance. She then left the building, and evidently took the next train back to Lyttelton, where she soon fell into the hands of the police. She was sent to gaol for one month.
