[Per Press Association.] BASEBALL. MELBOURNE, Feb. 23. The baseball team has decided to go to America, despite the cable message advising to the contrary. FEDEEAL CONVENTION. PERTH, Feb. 23. The Government has 'decided to join the Federal Convention. The writs for the election have been issued, the nominations being fixed for March 10, and the elections for March 13. The Premier favours holding the Convention at Adelaide. MR SEDDON. ADELAIDE, Feb. 23. The Speaker of the Legislative Assembly entertained Mr Seddon at lunch. Mr Gillies, ex-Agent-General of Victoria, was amongst those present. Mr Seddou has left for Sydney.
