[Per Press Association.! PEETH, .Tax. 4. Lady Fraser, -wife of the Agent-General, is cead. NEW PLYMOUTH, Jan. 4. On Jan. 2, James Hill, aged seventy-six, formerly Hospital Sergeant, 56th Eegiment. He arrived in Tai"anaki in 186 i with his regiment, and settled here on leaving the service. / WELLINGTON, Jan. 4. , / Captain Curden, of the ship Soukar, died last night from failure of the heart's action, aged fifty-four years. He formerly commanded the Margaret Galbraith, and had been trading to England for thirty years.
