PRIZE DISTRIBUTIONS.
©_— — — TAI TAPU SCHOOL. The annual prize distribution took place on Thursday. -Mr Robert Macartney (chairman of the committee) presided, and distributed the prizes. Each child who had passed a standard received a book and the infants a picture-book. Mr Fountain Barber's popular prizes fell to Winnie Limbrick and. Leonard Peryman, and Mr S. Carleton's reading prizes to Minnie O'Connor Standard VI., Cissie Lowe Standard IV., and Annie Millier Standard 111. Sewing prizes : Standard VI. — Nellie Barnett, Ellen Wallace; Standard V. — May Brake, Nellie Herrick, Ettie Tanner ; Standard IV. — Bessie Brake, Julia Heinzlnann, Winnie Barnett; Standard 111. — Adelaide Le Campion, Bella Wallace, Edith Parrett; Standard 11, — May Barnett; Standard I. — Agnes Lindemann, Adeline Forbes, Eleanor Millier ; . Class II. — Sarah Welsh, Evelyn Johnston, Lizzie Edmundson, Annie Baker; Class I. — Beatrice Philpott, Amy Tanner. Special prizes— Mrs Thos. Griffiths' for best and cleanest work, May Brake; for neatness — Madge Carleton ; knitting prize (given by Mrs Carleton) Nellie Edmundson; darning prize (given by Mrs Edmundson) Nellie Edmundson.
