A FOSSIL LIZARD.

[Per Press Association.] NEW PLYMOUTH, Nov. 28. An interesting discovery has been made near Purangi, inland from Inglewood, of the fossil remains of what is thought to be a huge land lizard. It is embedded iv papa rock on the bank of a creak, and the head has been exposed by a land slip, in perfect preservation, tlio scales and fossilised skin being visible to the naked eye.
