ALLEGED UNSEAWORTHY VESSEL.
[Per Press Association.] DUNEDIN, August 28. Five of the seamen of the barque Deva, which pat in here from Port Pirie for London, were charged to-day -with disobeying lawful commands. The men assert the vessel is not fit to go to sea with such a cargo as sulphide ore. Captain Thomson, Lloyd's surveyor, and others gave evidence that she is seaworthy, but a shipwright and others gave evidence to the contrary. The case was adjourned foi , fiu-ther evidence.
