RELIGIOUS INSTRUCTION.
A telegram from Wellington states that a meeting has been called for Friday to form a National Schools Defence Association. In order to make up for the exclusion of tho Bible from the ordinary curriculum, it is proposed to organise a band of teachers who shall give unaectarian religious instruction in the public schools after the hours appointed for school duties.
