THE SOUTHLAND WINTER SHOW.
The Winter Show of the Southland A. and P. Association was opened on Tuesday by the Hon J. G. Ward. The show is equal to last year's in cheese, perhaps a little better. The principal awards were : — Factory cheese, large — Wyndham Factory 1, Island Factory 2. Factory cheese, 12lb— Island Factory 1, Inch Clutha 2. Factory cheese, cokmred, scwt-^-Wyndham Factory 1, Inch Clutha Factory 2. Factory cheese, white, scwt— Wyndham Factory 1, Stirling Factory 2. Best single cheese—" Island Factory 1. D. Sutherland, Mosgiel, was first for swedes, red mango ds and field carrots, all from Sutton's seeds;, grown with Islington manures.
