Sydenham B defeated St Saviour's, on Saturday, by an innings and 20 runs. Scores — Sydenham 105 (Merriman 51, Dewe 18), St Saviour's 33 and 52 (Sincock 12, Adams 16). A match was played on Saturday between Avonside and St Matthew's Guild (St Albans), and resulted in a win for Avonside by 9 runs on the first innings. A match was played at Lyttelton on Saturday between the Lyttelton Cricket Club and a team from R.M.S. Tongariro, and resulted in a win for the landsmen by a substantial margin. , Lyttelton made 48 in their first innings, to which the Tongariro team responded with 25. In the second innings the local men put together 123 for the loss of four wickets, and declared their innings closed. The Tongariro men then went to the' wickets again, and were disposed of for 25.

CANTERBURY CRICKET ASSOCIATION. A meeting of the Junior Cup Committee of this body was held at tW Clarendon Hotel on Saturday evening, Mr G. A. U. Tapper presiding. It was resolved to grant the Midland and United Clubs an | extra Saturday in which to finish their Junior Cup match, the other teams in the competition to arrange scratch games for the ensuing round. A request was received from the Midland Club asking the committee to require the reason of two of the St Albans Junior Cup team, being chosen to play in.the President's Cup team. At the request of the committee the St Albans delegate undertook to furnish the perform-: ances of the players objected to and also those of the players promoted. Grounds for the next round of President'? Cup matches were .arranged aa under:— Warwick House rv, 'College No. 2, at College ; College No. 1 v. Midland No. 1, at College; St Albans v.
