PRESIDENT'S CUP MATCHES.
Midland No. 1 v. Midland No. 2. — This contest was terminated on Satiu-day at Hagley Park, when the No. 1 team won. easily by 106 runs. Scores : — No. 1 team, 178 and 89 (Barge 34, Ashby 23 and Eobertson 14); No. 2 team, 129 and 32. Barry and Robertson bowled well for the winners, who batted three men short in their second innings.
St Albans v. United No. 1. — The game between these teams was concluded at Hagley Park on Saturday, when the former were returned, victors by six wickets. Scores: — United, 89 and 77 (Gardner 41 and Hale 17) ; St Albans, 111 and 57 for four wickets (Williams 22 and Newton 21 not out). - Chapman and Hardie bowled well for the winners. ■
Lancaster Patch B v. Stdenhah. — This match was played at' Sydenham, and resulted in a win for the Pai-k by 52 rims. Scores :— Park 80 (M'Kendry 19, Toban 15,
E. Steeds 14) and 138 (Sanderson 37, A. Steeds 33, M'Kendry 19, Weir 13) ; Sydenham 66 (Ayrey 24, Freeman 13) and 100 (Tait 31, Lawrence 20, Newcombe 16). Mason and Johnston bowled well for the Park and Samuels and Lawrence for Sydenham.
