LINCOLN.
The ordinary monthly meeting of this Board was held on Monday, all the members being present. Mr J. W. Overton oooupied the chair. A letter waa read from the Waimakariri Biver Board fixing the rate to be levied in the district at 3-64-tha of a penny in the £. Other correspondence was dealt with. Several complaints were received as to cattle and piga destroying the Bideß of drains and creeks, and it was resolved to issue a summons in one case for the damage done, and in other cases to give notice to fence. The Clerk's report was read and approved. It was resolved that the striking of the general rate should be deferred till the next ordi- j nary meeting. Accounts to the amount of I £71 4s lld were passed for payment.
