He also stated that he would shortly visit Tasmania. Sir ( E. C. Braddcn indicated that he intended to re-enter politics. ROYALTY. * The Duke and Duchess of York paid an official visit to Edinburgh. The occasion was kept as a high holiday, and the streets were filled with thousands of military and civilians. The Royal couple were laden with presents, and the freedom of the City was -conferred upon the Duke. It is reported that the Princess Maud of Wales has been betrothed to the Czarewitch.
