[Pbb Pebss Association.] LYELL, Pbb. 15. The Governor and party arrived at halfpaofc five. The town was gaily decorated with flags and evergreens. The Governor was met at Fennell's Hotel by the leading residents, and an address of welcome and allegiance bearing the name of Mr John Fennel), on behalf of the residents .of .the district, waß read by Mr Walter Aitken. The Governor seemed highly pleased with the address, and feelingly responded. To-morrow morning the party will visit the United Alpine mine, and remain at Longford for the night. Although heavy rain fell during the afternoon, the party, and especially the j Governor, speak highly oi: the scenery along , the road.
