The Draughts Tournament.

DUNEDIN, Jan. 23,

Thedranghts tournament was continued to-day. In the firat winner's round Hutton heat Shaw, three games to one. Brodie beat Eosside ono game and drow three. Warnock heat M'Hwrick two game and drew one. Hood beat Boreham, three games to one. First loser's round — Foreman^ MTherson and Reid won their games, Gray, Risk and Ayson dropping out of the tournament; Bruce and Smith played eight drawn games.

There was a fair attendance to witness the draughts tournament this evening. The following was the result of the evening's play : — Second winners' round — Warnock won one game and drew three againat Brodie. Hood won two games and drew one against Hutton. Second losers' round — M*llwrick won one and drew two games against MTherson's one. Boreham won two and drew one against Shaw's one. Raeaide won two and drew two against Foreman. Reed won two and drow two against Smith. Bruce a bye. M'Pheraon (Oamaru), Shaw and- Foreman (Dunedin), and Smith (Wellington) now retire, having lost two lives, Warnock and Hood meet to-morrow, and great interest is taken in the event.
