Good Templary.
An official visit from tho Dauntless and Hope Lodges at Chriatchurch was paid to the Sea Shell Lodge, Lyttelton, on Tuesday night, on the occasion of the installation of their officers for the ensuing yoar. Afc the request of the Lodge Deputy, Bro Collins, the D.D.G.C.T., Bro GK E. J. J. Parker conducted the installation ceremony with marked effect, and at the close of the proceedings, hearty votes of thanks were accorded to the visitors, ■who duly acknowledged them, complimenting the members of the Sea Shell Lodge on the selection of their officers. The Lodge decided to fall in with the idea of according' the Gr.C.T. of New Zealand, Bro Glover, a hearty reception on his arrival here. On Wednesday night Bro Parker attended the Hope Ledge, Christchurch, when he conducted a similar ceremony before a very strong muster of members of the Order from various Lodges. A presentation was made to Sister Gunnell, late W.V.C.T. of the Lodge, she having been the means of introducing the greatest number of candidates for initiation during the past quarter. The priza consisted of the " First Prize Temperance Tale," a handsome volume, which was presented by the District Deputy for competition.
