SERIOUS FIRE IN SYDNEY.
DAMAGE £30,000.
[Renter's Teleobam."} SYDNEY, Jult 31. A serious fire occurred to-day in George street, Sydney, in the premises of Lloyd and Jones, mercers; Kerry and Jones, photographers; and Ferraris' wine shop. The total damage is £30,000. Lloyd and Joneß' loss is £25,000.
The insurances are as f ollows :—Commeroial Union, £3000} London and Lancashire, .£1500 ; Standard of New Zealand, .£1000; Equitable, £1000; Scottish Union and National, .£2000; South Australia, .£500; Australian Mercantile, £1500; New South Wales Co-operative, £1000; Royal, £1000; National New Zealand, £1000. Kerry and Jones are insured in the Union Company of New Zealand for £1600; in the South British for £600 ; in the New Zealand Company for £600. Ferraris is insured in the New Zealand Company for £1300. The premises destroyed were fully insured in the Norwich Union Company.
