4TRIAL DOUBLE SOULLS. This event, which takes place on Saturday, is causing considerable interest in the shed, as out of the fine entry of eight crews, Beven, or perhaps all, have many supporters. By steady practice dutsiders have gained a position such as would nearly make the race a moral for them. H. Baxter and Doubleday are an instance of the above, and have improved wonderfully. Doubleday This should be a really well contested race, and Baxter will win after a close ■truggle. TEHID HEAT. W.E.Butler f„ 7 H.R.Smith H. D. Hnnje I '} G. H. Mason An easy victory for Smith. 10ORTH HBAT. H. Lowry f _ 1 C. J. Atkinson A. L. Haylock IS T. H. Jackson This will be a capital race. Lowry should turn up first. The final heat will be, no doubt, contested between Lowry and Smith.
