ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH.

The usual Christmas services were held yesterday at the Roman Catholic Church, Barbadoes street, where the decorations were similar to those of last year, being chiefly confined to the sanctuary, the walls of wliicii were hung- with garlands, and the floor covered with growing ferns, &c. The gas standards throughout the church were' decorated with holly. At the offertory of the eleven o'clock mass the hymn Adesfcs Fldelcs was sung by tho boys' choir with tuneful simplicity, and a style that shows the improvement thoy have attained under the tuition of Professor Hughes. The organ, it was very noticeable, had got over many of tho _ difficulties incidental to new organs, pealing out tho accompaniments to the choruses with great power and volume.
