ELECTORAL.
♦ Mr Goodwin addressed the electors at Lincoln last night, and received a vote of thanks. His address will be found in another column, and & perusal will show that the speech is somewhat different in style to that of the generality of candidates for seats in the General Assembly. Mr 8. P. Andrews addresses the electors of Christ church on Saturday night at the Gaiety Theatre. Mr Wearing will address the electors at the Oddfellows 5^ Hall, Kaiapoi, to-night at 7.30 o'clock. Tho nomination for tho district of Avon takes place to-day, and to all appearances Mr Rolleston will have the honour of being the first member returned for the new Parliament, unless an opponent comes forward to Major Willis, the solitary candidate for Rangitikei, the nomination for which also takes place to-day. The nomination for Dunedin and Invercargill also takes place today. •
