METHODIST CHURCH, ADDINGTON.

An entertainment was given last evening, in the United Methodist Schoolroom, Belwyn street, in aid of the fund for furnishing the minister's house. This entertainment, which formed one of a series, was extremely well attended, particularly by the juveniles, for whom the programme provided had special attractions. Mr Seager, Sunnyßide, most kindly gave one of his now well-known evenings of mirth, musio, and magic, proving himself an adept at sleight-of-hand, and creating hearty laughter by some of the comicalities introduced. Messrs Kinsman, Richards, and Petrie contributed a selection of musical items, and largely added thereby to the success of the entertainment.
