LAND TAX OBJECTIONS.
-Friday, Angust 8, haa been gazetted asithe day on which Objectiotis under the Land Ttej Act for the Borough of Christchurch will bo heard ; and the country objections, whioh are to be heard in Christchurch by Bpecial arrangement, will be heard at the Reßi-. dent -Magistrate's Court, Christchurch. Mr Mellish had fixed a number -of days cdnseoutively for taking Christchurch objections, but as only one day has been gazetted, and there are a large number, of objections to be considered, the north-eastward of the. Borough of Ohristchurch only will be dealt with on August 8. The Court, however, will sit again on the 11th, 14th, and 15th of the same month for Christchurch objections, and on August 18 and 21 for tho "Bpecial arrangement" objections. Objections in the Templeton district will be heard at the Road Boardoffice, Templeton, on Saturday, August 9, at 10 a.m.
