A MYSTERIOUS FLITTING.
Whimngton, August 26. Thoro has been a oonaiderablo amount of speculation sinoe Sir J. Vogel's announcement yesterday re the Agent-Generalship. All sorts of rumours are afloat. Tho following oomes from a good aouroo :— That Sir Julius Yogel goes home as Agent-General, tho Speaker succeeds as Premier, Mr Bolleston boooracs Speaker, Mr Donald Beid Minister for Publio Works, and Mr Ormond Native Minister. Ihe Government are trying to koop the matter as muoh in the dark as possible till Tuesday, and there are several of opinion that the Hon John Hall will be in the Ministry. Members wonder that, during the session, there should be a reconstruction of the Ministry without consulting tho Houbo, and it is oxpooted that a very angry disoussion will ensue next week.
The somewhat sudden departure of Mr Haughton, the Goldflelds' Seorotary, per Zealandia, yesterday, for England, oausos all sorts of comment.
