A reminder .is given that the Tauranga ■Swimming Club's carnival, to have been held last' Thursday, but had to be postponed because of ,the shortage of water, will now be held this coming Thursday. A good evening’s entertainment is assured, and with outside swimmers also competing all should roll'along to see to!: event Maoris Delight at Show. A Maori exhibitor was slightly bewildered and thoroughly excited when he noticed the red first prize ticket oif his entry in the open fat lamb class at the Waiapu Show in jßuatoria recently. He hurriedly sought out. the judge and said: “Pai korrv you the judge eh. You give my lamb the first prize in the open class. He rearedd on ragwort, manuka and fern.”
