MR WM. FRANK BUCKLAHD,
the other candidate for Manukau, is in many respects the antipodes of 0 Rorke. He is bluff and outspoken ; not brilliant or jovial ; an Englishman who has always paid hie way, and a vigorous retrencher of puVilic expenditure. Buckland is quite equal to O'Rorke in solid ability, and he is infinitely his superior in progressiveness and independence. He is a lawyer, but so is O'Rorke.
