MAJOR HAMLIN,
the ' only ' Chairman of Committees, as O'Rorke is the only Speaker, wants to sit for Franklin. He is not so objectionable as O'Rorke, but I think he has sat too long already, and it would be good for his constitution, as well as for the colony's, if he were forced ' to git up and git.' An Atkinsonian of the worst type, he never would be missed, save by the parasitic and corrupt crew in politics and the Civil Service.
