THE SYDNEY VISIT.
BIG ANZAC DAY PARADE.

A magnificent welcome awaits the New Zealand contingent of ex-service-meat, who leave on Tuesday next from Wellington for the Anjac Day parade in Sydney, said Mr. Charles Burton and Mr. C. lv. Stanley, representing the returning soldiers and sailors of Australia, who arrived, by the Awatea yesterday to accompany the 1600 men who will make the trip.
Mr. Stanley is a New- Zealander, being formerly of To Aroha. Mr. Bur ton served with the Australian Infun-
try. They were met by the Hon. Mr. Perry, president of the New Zealand Returned Soldiers’ Association, and also Mr. B. J. Jacobs, Dominion vice-presi-dent, and Mr. R. Long, Auckland R.S.A.
“Sydney-will be en.,fete when tho New Zealanders arrive,” said Mr. Stanley. “All the hotels are already booked out. There will be the greatest number of visitors ever seen m Sydney.” Mr. Burton said 1370 men would sail on the Monowai and Maunganui from Wellington at 8 p.ni. on Tuesday, while 200 would travel independently by tho Awatea leaving the following day.
