ON INCEST CHARGE. COMMITTED FOB TRIAL. MAN FROM SWANSON. [By Telegraph.—Press Association] AUCKLAND, March 25. Charges of committing incest at Swanson ,about May 26, 1937, and attempting to commit suicide on January 19, were preferred against Francis Leo Johnson, aged 47 (Mr. Noble), before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., in the Police Court yesterday. "I am not pleading at all," said accused, after the hearing of evidence on the incest charge, and he was committed to the Supreme Court for trial. On the charge of attempting to commit suicide accused pleaded guilty, and was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence within six months if called on.
