Stud Sheep.

NOTABLE IMPORTATION.

(By Telegraph.—Press Association). WELLINGTON, Jan. 8. The largest shipment of pure-bred sheep yet to reach the Dominion from England arrived by the Monowai. The consignment comprises 19 Southdown rams and three Rye land rams, all selected personally by Mr. G. Fawkes, of Killeymoon, Bulls. Seven of the Southdowns were bred by His Majesty the King in his Sandringham flock, Norfolk. Many of the rams were first-prize winners at leading English shows, and represent the best prize-winning blood in England. According to English and Australian judges, the shipment is undoubtedly the finest that has ever reached the southern hemisphere.
