.An indication that the administintorship of Western Samoa, which has been vacant for some time, w uld shortly he filled, has been given by the Prime Minister, who says he has several names before him from which to choose. "We must let the Samoans see that we are their friends," said Mr. Savage. "We must give some evidence of it, and that means the appointment of someone who will be ■able to convince the Samoans that we are their friends, and that Ave want them to work in co-operation with us, and I think they will do it."
