Struck By 'Plane.
BLENHEIM WORKMAN
CYCLING ACROSS FIELD. (By Telegraph. —press Asspciatjon.) BLENHEIM, Jan. g. Two of the relief workers engaged on levelling work at the Blenheim aerodrome this morning cycled straight across the middle of tho landing field, instead of keeping to the boundary, and a trainee pilot, Mr. H. Hewetson, of Rai Valley, who was Hying solo in a Marlborough Aero Club machine, was coming in to laud at the time. He observed one of tho men but did not see the other, Mr. James O'Leary, and struck him with the lower right wing. The main spar of the winwas broken and the machine turned over, but the damage is not serious. Mr. O'Leary was considerably knocked about and is in hospital, but his condition is not serious.
