PEDESTRIANS INJURED.

MAN'S CONDITION SERIOUS

AUCKLAND, April 3

Joseph John Embling, aged 55, labourer, of Otahuhu, and his daughter Gertrude, aged 23, were injured when a motor-ear crashed into them while they were walking along Massey Road, Mangere, last evening. The father suffered compound fractures of both legs and he is in a serious condition in the Auckland Hospital. His daughter suffered concussion and head injuries, but her ! condition is not serious.

A son of Mr. Embling, who was accompanying them, escaped injury.
