AUCKLAND TEST SEATS.

COUNTRY RESIDENTS PENALISED.

NO* BOOKING BY LETTER.

That the Auckland Rugby Union will not reserve any'seats at either the Britain v. Auckland or Britain v. New Zealand matches at Eden Park, on August 19 and 26 respectively, is the intimation contained in a letter received by the president of the Thames- Hauraki Hockey Association this morning.

According to this letter, personal application is the only method by which seats may be reserved, and no notice will be taken of requests for reservations by letter, whether the money accompanies the applications or not. This procedure is sure to be the, cause of much dissatisfaction ?o dwellers in the country who are obviously placed at a decided disadvantage.
